• 8 week transformation with the SWEAT 12 week challenge.
But this is only the start of it.

It’s been 8 weeks into the SWEAT challenge, and even though this is my third time completing the BBG guide, every time I learn something different.

The first 12 weeks was about starting my journey in fitness, the second was to see a physical transformation and now the third being a mental one. I wanted to transform my attitude towards a program, and not focus on the outcome but rather the lessons picked up along the way.

  • And just like that it’s 2018!

As I finish off my emails, I thought it would be a great time to reflect on my fitness journey and share some tips with how to start yours.

It all started in 2014 when I was committed to a desk job, looking for an escape as the clock hit 5 o’clock. Back then I had a small gym, which homed one treadmill and some old weights – it wasn’t a lot, but it was all I needed.

  • Sitting by a warm fireplace on a gloomy winters evening realizing I have totally not kept myself accountable to creating a vlog on how I quit my 9 – 5 job. I’m going to be real honest with you guys, the whole editing thing has not been something I have had time to learn yet, and sitting here 4 days no electricity at my parents place feeling gratitude I have the opportunity to come home when things are tough reminded me of when I was indeed in a very tough place.

  • “@Candibod on Insta, she’s #fitspo personified – and that’s because her inner tomboy doesn’t see it as work. “As a kid, you could always find me surfing, skating or anything that got me moving. I never saw it as exercise – it was just in my nature to move,” she says. Now, shes turned that passion into her career, with her Instagram and Twitter presence, along with her blog, Candibod.com, where you can find an abundance of smoothie-bowl recipes and other healthy delicious treats galore.” – Women’s Health December Issue 2016

  • “For instance, local South African blogger and Instagrammer @candibod gets it. Candice is the clean-eating, exercise-freak with a healthy following of 23,6k users. Her high level of active engagement (she replies to every comment individually, answers questions, likes and follows back) and obvious passion for fitness and health has attracted some major South African brands. She is powerful micro-influencer for Adidas SA and Cotton On, as well as Sweat 1000 and Wazoogles, and has also gone on to team up with brands such as Gilette, Venus, and many others. Candice posts easy recipes next to images of delectable plates of food in between lifestyle shots and the occasional motivational quote. Her humble attitude (and love for ice-cream) make every follower feel like a friend. This is what connecting brands to customers in 2017 is all about.”
