    Alright guys here is the lowdown, Clicks Smartbite has challenged me to create five healthy alternatives recipes for the week (my kind of challenge he he). I thought to get myself in the groove I would recreate their Dark Chocolate & Banana Biscuits and add my own Candibod twist. So instead of using sunflower oil I replaced it with coconut oil, and added in some roasted cashew nuts to add that crunch element.

  • FIGS ARE IN SEASON PEOPLE. I dont know about y’allz but this is literally my favorite time of year!

    Not only do these juicy pops make my smoothie bowls look lit as, but they remind me of being little and my super picky ways. I would eat nothing but cut up apples and dry paste (oh how times have changed), let alone a fruit that resembled more of a dangerous plant than a late night treat. I just remember being so terrified of this fruit, and now I await the local fruit stall owner to let me know when to buy them fresh out natures kitchen.

  • When you get less than 4 hours sleep, but your Wazoogle blueberry flapjacks are still lit as! Now I dont condone minimal sleep, but due to a few medical issues over the last few days I have really struggled to find comfort during these hot summer nights. So I found comfort in my kitchen instead, and in my recipes.

    The first few I cooked in coconut oil, however due to the nature of cooking flapjacks I still feel its best to use good Spray & Cook. Not only does it not burn the flapjack, it also allows the blueberries to stay more intact when executing your flip’aroo.

    Now that my belly and heart are full, its time to tackle my to do list!

    INGREDIENTS:

    • 1 whole egg, 1 egg white
    • 1 banana
    • 1 serving of Wazoogle Vanilla superfood protein powder
    • 1/2 tsp backing powder
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    Step 1 :
    Place all ingredients in a blender, and whiz that shiz up!
    Step 2:
    Pour mixture onto a medium to hot pan, using a tsp of coconut oil & four blueberries for each flapjack.
    Step 3:
    Once all the flapjacks have been made, add a handful or two of blueberries into the same pan with a small amount of water.
    Cook blueberries until they have broken slightly and stained the water to create a sauce like consistency.
    Step 4:
    Add to your fav plate and decorate!
