Recently I received a Fitbit Charge 2, and due to popular demand I decided to do a mini review on it. When it comes to a ‘sports watches’ I see that most of you seem to be unsure what make to invest in. On the other hand, the inconsistency of certain makes will have some people asking if a fitness watch is even worth it – leading to questioning them entirely.

At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference and what helps motivate you to be that little more mindful towards your overall wellness.

I was someone who used to be neither here nor there when it came to fitness watches. I had purchased one a while back, however the watch kept popping out of the band (because I have THE smallest wrist, and would need to tighten it past its thresh hold) and the battery life wasn’t ideal for me. All I ended up with was a consistently dead watch that lived in my dresser.

But then came the Fitbit Charge 2.

So what made me start wearing a watch every day for the first time in my life?

Some days I think it’s the color (because who doesn’t want to look at a stunning rose gold and lavender strap), and other days it might be the competitive side of me when I try beat my steps from the day before. Who knows – it’s difficult to put something so resourceful into a box.

If anything this is ONE watch that wont be going back into a box ever again.

I have listed some of my favorite features below of the Fitbit Charge 2:

  • The steps are on the front screen with the time and date – most fitness watches just have the time and you have to click through to find your steps.
  • LONG BATTERY LIFE! A big one for forgetful me.
  • Continuous heart rate band – this can be interesting if you see your heart rate going up during the day in odd times. This is a great help in monitoring my anxiety levels and reminds me to slow down.
  • On that note this is the FIRST watch to include a 2-minute meditation setting, which I tend to use when I see my resting heart rate sky rocket for no reason.
  • If you sleep with the watch you can sync it to your phone via Bluetooth and it vibrates when your alarm goes off – No more ‘My alarm didn’t go off’ moments at work.
  • It also syncs with your calls and messages! Now this is amazing for me as I tend to leave my phone on silent ALL THE TIME – I haven’t missed an important call since I started wearing it, and as a business owner that’s a pretty gnarly feature.
  • It looks so dam pretty! The amount of compliments I have received wearing it with my everyday lifestyle outfits makes me comfortable to wear it all day every day, without looking like I am yet again only in active wear.

There really is so much I have to learn on this gadget that I can’t wait to share with you guys.

I hope this shed some light on the Fitbit Charge 2, if you have any questions please leave them in the comments below and I will be more than happy to answer.

All my love,

About Me

So take a girl with the energy of a greyhound stuck behind a desk for too many years who gave it all up to pursue a more fulfilling life centered around her passion for health and fitness. That rather convoluted sentence sums me up.
