• Quick blog post before I spend the day on a train ride to Kalk Bay with friends, because this green smoothie bowl is delish and will keep me full until lunch time!

Recently I have been making all my smoothies, overnight oats and smoothie bowls with Wazoogles super food protien powder. This green superfood smoothie bowl is creamy and rich in nutrients, topped with some seasonal fruit and a cut up Nakd apple super food bar.

    Happy Sunday y’allz!

Hope you enjoy, and let me know if you give it a try.

    • 1 Cup diced, frozen pear (fresh, diced and frozen overnight)
    • Handful of blueberries
    • ¼ Cup gluten free oats (normal oats is perfectly fine as well)
    • 1 Frozen banana
    • ½ Serving of Wazoogle Plant Power green super food protien powder
    • ½ Cup Almond Breeze almond milk
    • ½ Cup water

    1. Combine ingredients in blender and blend until smooth (using a high power blender will give you the best results, as a normal one with a lower speed will give the smoothie a slushy like consistency)
    2. Serve and enjoy!

  • My favorite way to start the week is with a super food smoothie that’s packed with lots of fruits, antioxidants and super foods. Its an easy and quick way to get all the good stuff in for the day, and is the perfect on-the-go breakfast.

Full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Spinach is also a great source of vitamins A, B2, C and K, and also contains magnesium, manganese, folate, iron, calcium and potassium.

High in potassium, which should support healthy blood pressure levels.

High in vitamin C and a great source of fiber.

    Paw Paw:
A low calorie fruit filled with vitamins and minerals, and adds a natural sweetness to your smoothie.

    Green Shake Super Food Powder:
The perfect way to get more greens in your diet. Concentrated and potent, these highly alkalising superfoods are essential to rebalance pH and cleanse the system

    Almond Milk:
Lower in calories than other milks as long as it is unsweetened. It’s also free of cholesterol, saturated fat, and is naturally lactose free

    • Handful of Spinach
    • 1/2 Cup diced, Frozen Avocado
    • 1/2 Cup diced, Frozen Pear
    • 1/4 Cup diced, Frozen Paw Paw
    • 1/2 tsp The Real Thing Joint Revolution
    • 1 Frozen Banana
    • 2 tsp Green Shake Superfood Powder (Baobab, Hemp Seed Protein, Barleygrass, Wheatgrass, Wild-harvested Moringa Leaf, Spirulina)
    • 1/2  Almond Breeze Milk
    • 1/4 Cup Filtered Water
    • Herbivore Super Cereal

    1. Combine ingredients and blend until smooth (using a high power blender will give you the best results, as a normal one with a lower speed will give the smoothie a slushy like consistency)
    2. Serve and enjoy!

  • Looking for a new whey to get your protein in? Can’t stop thinking about when your next cheat meal is going to be?

Not to sound like a terrible insurance advert, but these Whey Chewies are something you might want to add to your kitchen cupboard!

    1. Boil kettle
    2. Sprinkle gelatin to boiled water, mix quickly
    3. Now mix your whey and vanilla essence
    4. Pour into molds, and place in the freeze for 10-15 minutes (no longer)
    5. Pop out your molds and store at room temperature in a glass jar

  • When becoming a personal trainer, no one warns you how scarce your time becomes. Not only has sleeping in become a luxury, but also making time for a decent meal that ISN’T a protein bar or banana like shake.

About Me

So take a girl with the energy of a greyhound stuck behind a desk for too many years who gave it all up to pursue a more fulfilling life centered around her passion for health and fitness. That rather convoluted sentence sums me up.
